Description

Albert Rees Williams, born Pontarddulais on 14 June 1895, was a miner before he enlisted in the Welsh Regiment. He was wounded, apparently on the Somme in 1916 - the story told is that a shell which killed two comrades injured Albert in the knee. This booklet, which he received when he was honourably discharged in October 1917, records details of his army service and contains a character reference.
