Baldwin's Town

This is some of the reseach carried out by Gwyn Emberton (Choreographer/Dancer), Tic Ashfield, Benjamin Talbott (Composers) and Aideen Malone (Lighting Designer) for a new dance theatre work based on the Welsh border town of Montgomery. Over two weeks the group of artists collated anecdotal research, visited various local museums and landmarks, took sound and image recordings of the local environment and carried out online research that will be used as inspiration for the work. 

The items posted are of this research, unedited. There is no logic, claim of historical accuracy but there is creative rational only known to the artists.

Gwyn Emberton Dance is the dance theatre company of award winning Welsh independent dancer and choreographer Gwyn Emberton. The company brings together the highest caliber of dancers, composers and designers to create new contemporary dance theatre.
