Recruitment poster for the Monmouthshire Volunteer Regiment

Recruitment poster for the Monmouthshire Volunteer Regiment. The information poster explains that all men over the age of 18 are asked to join so that if there are any landings by the German army in Monmouthshire they will “be ready” and save ‘our mothers, wives, sisters and daughters from the fate that befell the Belgians.’
The men wishing to join are asked to attend the Tredegar Drill Hall on Tuesday evening, October 23rd, 1917 at 7.30pm.
