Tucked away behind Old Hall on the High Street of Cowbridge, lie the tranquil grounds of Old Hall Gardens. Surrounded by the old Town Walls, this area forms a large part of the restored grounds that originally belonged to the town house of the Edmondes family, dating back to around 1740.
Cowbridge Physic Garden was originally part of the Old Hall Gardens. Badly neglected in the 20th century it was brought back to life by enthusiastic volunteers and today is a glorious array of medicinal plants and herbs, typical of physic gardens from centuries past.
