Description
Scientific Name:Cyathus striatus
Fungi facts:The fungus resembles a bird's nest with tiny eggs inside. These 'eggs' are oval bodies that contain the spores. The sides of the 'nest' are angled such that falling droplets of rainwater dislodge the spore bodies and they are ejected from the cup. The fungus is relatively common found growing in clusters on rotten wood.
