Description

This photograph may have been taken by Dr J.J. Cowan, who owned the lease on the Boat House between 1906 and his death in 1918 so it could date from around 1910. It shows the house before the upper windows were added at a much later date.
Laugharne Corporation records show that this had originally been two houses and that the lease included a coal yard, presumably the space in front of the house. Coal would have been unloaded at high tide from a collier boat and through the door in the wall.
