Description

Ticket of the Rev. Abraham Matthews, his wife Gwenllian, baby Mary Ann, Gwenllian’s brother John (Murray) Thomas and Mary John, who sailed on the 'Mimosa'. The 'Mimosa' carried the first emigrants to Patagonia and sailed from Liverpool on 28 May 1865. The Rev. Abraham Matthews, a native of Llanidloes, served as a Nonconformist minister in Patagonia until his death.
