Brass cups from the Andes, Patagonia owned by Amos Willaims, the Mimosa's passenger cook.
Description
Two cups bronze decorated with native patterns of Andean design, Patagonia. One has a pattern of a person dancing and the other a pattern of a deer or a dog. The cups came to Wales via Amos Williams who was a chef on the Mimosa on the trip to Yr Wladfa in 1865. Amos Williams returned to Wales by 1911-1918.
