Description

Gordon grew up on a farm in St Brides. He still lives there today. Talks about farming life in the 1940s and 1950s. He witnessed the transition from horse power to tractor power. Used to thatch hay ricks as a boy and make the pegs using his knife. Has seen holes in the sea wall, including on at least one occasion, one so big a vehicle could drive through. During the war watched a German plane fly overhead.
