Description
This 'Zine' from December 1990 by anti-nuclear campaigners at Greenham Common Women's Peace Camp is dedicated to the memory of Helen Thomas, a peace activist from Carmarthenshire who died at Greenham in August 1989 following an accident involving a police horse box. The Zine, in both Welsh and English, captures the timeline of protest leading up to Helen Thomas’ tragic death; and shares a range of approaches towards military resistance.
A memorial to Helen Thomas stands in the National Garden of Peace behind Wales' Temple of Peace in Cathays Park, Cardiff, along with a memorial to the wider CND Cymru (Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament) movement.
