One of five leather shoes discovered behind an old fireplace at Ty Cerrig, Llanfachreth, in March 1994. They probably belonged to a family of two parents and three children. The shoes date from the mid-19th century and were hidden to bring good luck and fertility to the home.

lovely to see the old shoe again . I found ithe shoes whilst renovating the house in 1994 and regretted donating them almost immediately- Feel better they are now on virtual display
