About
The Royal Commission is the investigative body and national archive for the historic environment of Wales.
The material we post on PCW comes from our public archive, the National Monuments Record of Wales (NMRW). Material held within the NMRW is a mixture of Crown copyright and third-party copyrights. The Crown copyright material may be used for private study or a non-commercial purpose under the Non-commercial Government Licence. It should be acknowledged as follows: ‘© Crown: Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales’. Third party material may require clearance from the copyright holder. Please contact us for further information or if you would like to use any of the material from our collections for commercial purposes.
We hold a unique collection of photographs, maps, plans, drawings, publications, and reports in our archive. Access to the full NMRW archive catalogue can be found at www.coflein.gov.uk
