Great war medals and death plaque Pte John Campbell
John Campbell served in France from Oct 1915 with the 5th Bat Cameron Highlanders
he returned to the wounded and suffering from shell shock to the UK in 1916
He was being treated at the Rest Home Porthcawl (then an auxiliary hospital)
his leg wound healed he was ordered to return to the front despite still suffering from shell shock
on August 24 1916 he walked into the sea at Rest bay and drowned
he is buried in Porthcawl
