Allan James's grandmother born in 1884, relates her memories of the great excitement about 1904–1905 Welsh Revival in Maesteg and seeing Evans Roberts from Loughor.

Summary:
All the chapels were full with prayer meetings all day, everyday at the Bethania vestry in Maesteg. Going around different chapels. Seeing Evan Roberts with his party from Loughor and Annie May Rees singing. Describing the services and the songs that were sung and the possible reasons why it lost popularity.
