Aerial Photographs of the Vale of Glamorgan Coast
This collection shows images of various locations along the Vale’s Bristol Channel coast, including: Aberthaw, Fontygary, Monknash, Nash Point, Rhoose, and Sully Island.
The collection of images form part of a larger collection that include aerial photographs of Rural Vale, Barry Town, Barry Docks and Barry Island, Penarth, Dinas Powys and Llandough.
The Vale of Glamorgan Council Libraries Service has been given a collection of large (mostly 500mm by 400mm) oblique aerial photographs of various locations and places of interest in the county. This donation came from an unknown source so therefore no copyright data can be ascribed. Furthermore, there is no indication as to the date that the photographs were taken, although assumptions have been made from local knowledge as to when this may have been.
In addition to the large images described above, there are other images measuring 250mm by 200mm donated by the former Welsh Industrial and Maritime Museum (for which copyright is acknowledged) and these are dated.
