This collection relates to Mr & Mrs George and Elsie Porter of Ciliau Aeron, Ceredigion. George, a National Serviceman, was serving with the Royal Army Service Corps in the UK in the early 1960's, when he met Elsie, who was serving with the Women's Royal Army Corps. The couple began a relationship that grew stronger, despite Eslie's posting to BAOR Germany keeping them apart for many months. The couple eventually married and began a family, with Elsie leaving the Army shortly before George. The collection features a filmed interview with both Elsie and George, at home, many years after their first meeting at an Army base in southern England.
