Towyn Jones
This interviewee discusses the social element of early television. He chose to discuss two royal events too - Queen Elizabeth's Coronation and Prince Charles' Investiture. He remembers the social side to the Coronation and remembers watching a film of the ceremony in the cinema. As he remembers the Aberfan disaster he refers to the Prime Minister's and Coal Board Chairman's role and the fuss which arose as much of the money raised to help the families was used to clear the mess. As he discusses the programmes which have affected him the most he speaks of the funeral of Queen Wilhelmina and children's programmes.
