First World War Victory Medal belonging to Private William J. Picton

Description

William J. Picton was from Bute Docks in Cardiff, the son of John and Esther Picton. He served in the First Battalion, Welsh Regiment and was killed on 21 February 1915. He is buried at the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.

Sadly, William John Picton has no known grave. His name is recorded on the Menin Gate at Ypres/Iepers, but he is not buried there.
