My mother-in-law used to talk a lot about the Ben Evans store that she used to go. She was born in 1906.
My grandmother, Celia, was a sales assistant in Ben Evans, till she married. (Clare Frances)

The photograph is not of Wind St. The photographer is in Castle Square looking toward Castle Bailey Street.
