Tennant Canal, Neath

Description

The Tennant Canal was built in 1821 by George Tennant and runs from the mouth of the River Tawe to Aberdulais Basin where it joins the Neath Canal. It was opened three years after work commenced and was prosperous until the railways became well established in the 1880s.
