Renaming the Grounds to Caeau Les Phillips
Description
The renaming of the Club’s grounds to Caeau Les Phillips on 14th September 1991 was celebrated with a game between the players from the Club and some invited guests against the Welsh Classicals XV. The Classicals included five full Welsh Internationals and four British Lions, one of which, Graham Price, is the most capped Welsh British Lion. In the Dinbych squad were Les’s three sons, John, Siencyn and Tegid. Prior to the game, the commemorative plaque was unveiled by Les’s daughter, Mair Lovell, along with the Club President, Tom Palmer.
