My Great Grandfather L/Sgt R G Read of 'K' Battery, Royal Horse Artillery marrying my Great Grandmother Daisy Preston at the British Embassy, Cairo on 28th June 1927. My Great Grandmother was a nanny at The Garrison School, Abbassia. My Great Grandfather L/Sgt R G Read served in Egypt for nearly 10 years.
