Description

Built in Cardigan in 1877, the 'Margaret Anne' was co-owned by Evan Parry of the Ship Hotel, Tresaith, and Simon Jones, a merchant in Llangrannog. This 28-ton smack transported bricks, tiles and earthenware from Connah's Quay on the Dee estuary to Llangrannog. It was known to the people of Llangrannog as 'Y Llong Lestri' (The Earthenware Ship). In 1919, 'Margaret Anne' was lost off St. Anne's Head, Milford.
