Description

Whitehill is part of the Longmoor Training Camp, near Petersfield in Hampshire. A railway was built there in 1903, initially as an aid to moving equipment, but was utilised from that time on in army training.

Originally built as a 1' 6" gauge tramway, it was re-laid to standard gauge in 1905-07.
