I was a engine cleaner/fireman at Oswestry in 1951/2 and many times travelled on the shown line, and remember holding a red flag at the very crossing at Porthywaun Originaly I came from Llangynog and appear a child on the picture in the book of Tanat Valley Light Railway by Wilfred J. Wren of the last passenger train watered at Llangynog Station in 1947. (Picture taken by W.A. Camwell) Also in the book About Llangynog and Neighbouring Villages by T. Elwyn Jones. 2001
