Description

Pwlholm was the site of the regimental training ground for the Monmouthshire Regiment. A railway track, complete with locomotive, was constructed there for training purposes in the early 20th century. This photograph shows the construction of the railway bridge across the Monnow with one of the bridge supports being lowered into place by a crane.
