In 1997, Community House it was decided that the needs of the community using the centre needed to be met again, in the form of a re-furbishment. Nothing had been done to the building since it opened in 1969. The staircase was re-positioned and the coffee lounge was made larger. Some of the rooms upstairs had layout changes. Ingrid Wilson, trustee and management committee member secured the funding for the re-furbishment to take place.
