By this time, we had removed the front axle from some of our 4-wheeled trailers and fitted a Ferguson draw-bar, so that the tractor actually carried half the weight, giving that wonderful little tractor the traction to pull a load of silage over the pit, as seen here. Bert and Alan still had to unload by hand, and we kept another tractor standing by with a chain if the Fergy should get stuck.
