Thomas Henry Banner enlisted at Devonport in 1904 aged 24 years and joined the 2nd Field Company Royal Engineers. Served initially in the UK for just over a year and was then transferred to Hong Kong. Then relocated back to the UK for a final 5 years. He completed his maritime service and on the 1st of November 1913 his service was recorded as Maritime. Conscripted in 1916
