Re-development of Glan-llyn Estate, 17 September 1954
Description
Photographed by Geoff Charles. In 1948, the 38,000 acre hill-farming estate of Glan Llyn was handed over to the Welsh Agricultural Sub-Committee for management. For four centuries the land had formed part of the Wynnstay Estate but the estate went to the Treasury in lieu of death duties. This image shows members of the Country Landowners' Association visiting some of the farms being renovated.
