Miniature cricket bat with facsimile of MCC team players' signatures, 1948-9

Description

On the bat are facsimile autographs of the players who toured South Africa with Marleybone Cricket Club in 1948-9. Marleybone Cricket Club selects it's team from amongst the best players in the English league. Marleybone Cricket Club owns the 'Lords' ground and were responsible for setting the official cricket rules in 1788.
Among the players is Allan Watkins, who on the tour became the first Glamorgan batsman to score a century in Test cricket.
