Description

The nine hundred year old church in Brecon which was once the centrepiece of a Benedictine priory, and became a parish church at the dissolution. Long known as the Priory church of St John the Evangelist, or simply the Priory church, it was elevated to cathedral status in 1923. Engraving published by Newman & Co of 48 Watling Street, London.
