Description

A view of a former river crossing over the Ithon usually known as Shakey Bridge, but here captioned Shaky Bridge. This rather unsafe looking structure, made of planks suspended on wires, was built in the 1890s. The caption to this reproduction from a photograph by Hudson said that it was 'interesting as a native example of those primitive suspension bridges which are so common in various less civilised parts of the world' !
