Rivers Honddu and Usk at Brecon, 1889

Description

The meeting place of two rivers at Brecon, photographed in 1889. Here the Honddu flows under the iron Honddu bridge, an 1873 replacement for a stone bridge destroyed in a severe storm, to join the Usk. Beyond the bridge are a watermill and the creeper clad remains of the castle.
