Employees of Tom Norton Ltd, then Britain's biggest bicycle buyers according to the sign in the window. Tom Norton started his business in Llandrindod Wells in 1898. He met Henry Ford in America, and did much to promote early motor cars and even light aircraft. The premises were later doubled in size and became famous as the Automobile Palace.
