Royal visit to Welshpool station, 1896

Description

Welshpool station on 25 June 1896, when the Prince and Princess of Wales stopped on the way to a ceremony at Aberystwyth. The reception party at the station included the mayor, directors and officials of the Cambrian Railways, the Montgomeryshire Militia, and a choir of two hundred voices.
