Lledan brook, Welshpool, c. 1880 [image 1 of 2]

Description

A pair of card-mounted stereoscope images captioned 'View in Welchpool'. They feature the Lledan brook which ran through the centre of Welshpool, with St Mary's church in the background. The watercourse, which was once used as an open sewer and caused a serious cholera outbreak in 1848, was later enclosed in a culvert.
