Grave of Robert Owen at Newtown

Description

The grave of the pioneering social reformer Robert Owen at St Mary's church, Newtown, pictured in the late 1930s. He was born in the town in 1771 and returned there shortly before his death in 1858. His ideas led to the formation of the Co-operative Movement.
