High Street building, Welshpool, dating from c. 1700

Description

One of the oldest buildings in Welshpool with a fine decorative frontage, and a stone mounting block on the left. At the time of this photograph this was the premises of a cabinet maker and antique furniture dealer on the left, and a hairdresser, shaver and umbrella repairer on the right. In the 18th century it was a licensed inn.
