Rhyl Choral Society at the opening of the new Pavilion
Description
The Pavilion and Gardens together cost £16,500. It was opened by the Right Hon. Lord Mostyn and a concert was given by Mr. De Jong's Orchestra and Madame Sadler-Fogg in the morning. At night there was a performance of 'Elijah' by the 200 members of the Rhyl Choral Society and an orchestra of 40. The principals were: Soprano - Miss Gleeson White, Contralto - Gertrude Longsdale, Tenor - John Harrison, Bass - Herbert Brown. Local principals included Miss Mabel Hughes, Miss Maud Jones, E.W.Parry and R. Hanlon.
