This is a likeness of one of the pictures on the walls of the warehouse by Cardigan Bridge, produced by travellers and workers who were connected with the port of Cardigan. I loved the antiquity of this wall art and the stories that it tells or perhaps suggests, created with the simplest of materials. The detail of the boats and their accuracy became apparent when I started to try and capture them on canvas. I have tried to achieve something of the aged look of the boat, and the condition of the wall it is on.
