Cardigan Rifle Volunteers at Priory House

Description

The members of the recently-formed Cardigan Company of Rifle Volunteers in front of Priory House, Cardigan. Priory House, on the site of the medieval Priory, was designed by architect John Nash. Much altered, the building survives as the Cardigan & District Memorial Hospital. The photo was taken in 1861 by Jean Goldman.
