Newcastle Emlyn Attic Players Founders, Edwin and Winnie James
Description
Edwin Stanley James was manager of the NC Emlyn branch of Barclays Bank, then located in Sycamore St next to Bethel Lane. He was also a poet; together with his wife Winnie they held parties and play readings in the attic of the bank, which in 1932 led to them founding the Attic Players, who continue to this day. This photo shows them in their Bullnose Morris in the 1920s.
