Description
The Raleigh Select Electric bicycle had a relatively short production life, primarily due to its expensive retail price. A battery that was charged through the mains electric supply would power a motor that could compensate about 50% of the effort that one would put into pedalling up a hill. There have been further advances in electric bicycles since the 1990s.
