Description

Bonfire beacons were lit on hills all over Britain on Coronation Eve, June 1 1953.
This group of NC Emlyn scouts carried on alone when their leaders got "cold feet" at the last minute, lit the fire and camped on Moelfre for the night. It was a clear night and the fires made a dramatic sight from our high viewpoint.
