Description

Another Welshman in the regiment has died. According to John, John Williams was a simple and obliging lad and had been ill for a long time.

They have received three months pay which amounts to forty-three dollars and thirty-five cents. He is sending twenty-five dollers home with a Mr Gareth Halvers.

On the top the letter he has written that he does not need anything from home but also says that there are no pain killers here and if they send anything that they send pain killers.
