Description
Mary Jones (neé O'Shea )c.1845-1926. Great aunt to Helen Ellis who also carried the name O'Shea. From Irish stock originally, she came as a maid to Plas Tan y Bwlch, Maentwrog in the 1870's. After her marriage, she lived in the lodge there and worked as the gatekeeper as shown here, in Welsh costume.
