Description

Programme for Jewish Association of Cultural Societies (JACS), Cardiff Branch for March/April 2003. The programme sets out details of weekly talks and meetings, including an annual general meeting, an "in house get together" and a lecture by Professor Mike Picardie on the "Imagery of the Zohar" (the foundational work in the literature of Jewish mystical thought).

The first branch of JACS was started in 1978 at Stanmore Synagogue. The organisation was set up to provide a programme of educational, cultural, charitable and social activities for retired or semi retired Jewish members. Some 22 branches were subsequently formed - all on synagogue premises. The Cardiff branch of JACS is no longer in existence.
