The First Post Office in Barry
Description
A black and white negative of a temporary wooden building with a brick chimney that was the first branch post office in Barry. Erected in 1885 in the midst of green fields the area developed into High Street, which is shown in the course of erection. Kept by Jim and Sarah Taylor it was on a site opposite Aneurin Evans the chemist.
