Billy Arnott of Cowbridge 1940s
Left to right : Glyn Thomas, BA, Mr Wilcock (railway guard). Lew Punter. Billy Arnott was part of a three-man band (he played drums) called the Night Hawks, which often played in the Town Hall. The other two members were Billy Tovey and Glyn Lewis. Billy Arnott used to own an outfitters next to the cinema in Eastgate. He and his brother Gomer were very good friends with Glyn Thomas. When he died, Billy's coffin bore a large wreath in the shape of a drum.
